Admit it: you’ve always wondered what those poor fishes who think they are about to enjoy a meal but instead find themselves with a giant hook of metal in their mouths look like. No? Oh…Well, whoever does have such a strange curiosity as this is in luck, thanks to Fish Eyes. Fish Eyes has developed a standard fishing line with 20 feet (6 meters) of combined analog video and power cable that allows fishermen and fisherwomen to see what’s happening underwater at the end of the fishing line. The Fish Eye is equipped with an LED light option, and a reel-mounted monitor that hosts the live feed from the waterproof camera below the surface. Now, don’t ask us what happens if the camera gets snagged in sea grass, or if a gigantic catch comes along and swallows the camera (although we think the footage would resemble the whale scene from Disney’s Pinocchio), but at least it seems like a fun gift for fishing enthusiasts (or kids?) who have always wondered what’s happening down below.
